getting white wheels
 
i have a 93 900rr black ,red , and silver, and i whant to know the best way to paint or powder coat or what ever the best way is . has any body done this with good results? i need new tires and now would be a great time to do it. also how do you think it will hold up to tire changing?any input would be nice, thnks peeps.

Powdercoating, no question. paint will chip and flake after awhile, powdercoat is much more durable, although you need to remove the bearings and all from your wheels to accomplish that.

+1 Powdercoating is the way to go, you could hit it with a hammer and It wouldnt flake off

When you powdercoat you're more likely to bend/break the wheel than the powdercoating is to come off. that stuff is TOUGH to hurt. hell, it took me a good while with some heavy duty paint stripper on my old bike's rims to remove the powdercoating so I could repaint the wheels.

Pricing is hard to say as it varies from area to area.

Not positive, but I would say definitly under 200 big ones for both wheels

I have white wheels on my 1000F, and they're a PITA to keep clean......
Rethink your colour choice, unless you have many hours to spare and plenty of old toothbrushes.....:D
Powdercoat's def the way to go, though.

thanks shadow, i had white wheels on my F2,and absolutely loved them, even though they were a pain. i dont mind the time cleaning because the result is stellar. shadow , that is the cleanest 1000f i have seen. well done freind.
