Will the same gas cap work on all year CBR's??? Or is there a difference in size, bolt pattern, etc... Going by the pics I have seen, the bolt pattern looks to be the same. Little help here.

 

dunno check ebay they usually list the similar types

 

that is part of the problem, they list caps from the bike they took it off of, but for after market caps(like pro-tek) they seem to be universal. it just looks to me like the bolt patterns are all the same.

I ask because my key broke off in the gas cap and I am not going to go thru all the crap I did to get the broken key out of my ignition.

 

Someone test it out. There are only three bolts holding them on. Find a buddy with a different year bike and make and see if they match up. I don't have any sport bike guys around me, but I'll look at my buddies VTX next time we are together.
