fuel injection
I am purchasing a 94 cbr 1000F today (2800.00 and very clean/low mileage.) The seller is telling me the bike is fuel injected. I noticed it has a choke on the left handlebar. Am I wrong, or is this bike carburated??? I have never seen a fuel injected bike with a choke. Thanks, Eric

RE: fuel injection
i dont believe it is Fuel Injected. hondas 1stFI bike was the f4i but it wasnt the 1st sportbike with Fuel injection.. take for example the gsxr SRAD a late 90's bike but injected. yamaha didnt release fuel injection on the r1 or r6 untill 03 i believe. i dont know **** about kawi so oh well.

Yes, the bike has a carburetor. No fuel-injected bike has a choke. I honestly don't think the guy knows what he is talking about. And how much mileage is "low mileage"? Being that it's a 94, I'd make sure that the bike was actually ridden, otherwise, who knows what may be wrong with it.

RE: fuel injection
Look for a petcock too, I don't think there were any FI bikes with a petcock. 1994 was a long time ago, figure everything will have to be replaced, get a newer bike or only pay half of that for this bike, you will be buying a project. Plus, anyone that has owned the bike will know if it is FI or carb. Bike people aren't like car people, bike people tend to know a little about their rides, nost car people just put gas in it and it goes.
