RE: FRAM Filter question

I think you will be alright with a NAPA or Wix filter. I have always used Wix on my bikes. You spend a little more, but I think they are better off on a high performance engine.

RE: FRAM Filter question

There are a plethora of oil filter tests done and write ups about them on the internet. I have read a few about oil filters and oil alike... Frams valves also tend to stop working and whatever it has filtered out of your engine just dumps back in when you shut off the engine and the valve in the filter doesn't close properly. Fram filters have graded the worst in most of these tests due to inferior filter materials being used, cardboard inside the filter and they also don't filter the finer particles that can leave scratches inside the motor.

Purolator Pure Ones are the best filter you can buy today. They have more surface area of filter media and filter out the small micron particles as well.

I now only put Purolators in all my vehicles. Ordered off Amazon, they are pretty cheap. I also only use Mobil1 oilnow as well. You can go to Purolators website to see if they make a filter for any vehicle.

Something many people do not know is with your Honda OEM filter you ave a 30day warrenty. Everytime . So I stick with Honda filter. 24,000 and no problems so far.

RE: FRAM Filter question

I know the fram filters for my vehicle dont have the anti drain valve. Fram filters (not sure on the heavy duty ones) are mediocre. The cheap walmart supertech ones are equal or better than them.

I just used my last honda oil filter and will be using PureOne from then on.

Wix and Purolator PureOne are two of the best filters you can buy.

RE: FRAM Filter question

Wal-Mart Supertech filters. 2-3 bucks. Excellent quality and great price combo.

EDIT:

Last I heard, Supertech filters area actually made by Champion Labs, the same company that makes, STP, AC-Delco, and other name brands as well. Honda filters are basically way overpriced car filters that have the Honda logo painted on the cases.
