Cool fix it or fork it? low budget

My 98 f3 600 fork seals are blown, can I put other forks on that are not F3 forks? or should I just wait to get a rebuild?

You can swap to alot of different front ends,but fork seals are dirt cheap.

Fork seals are easy. Won't cost you much at all. Just go to the stealership, order yourself some seals. Get some fork oil and have them look up how much to put in.

Mine took me almost 3 hours the first time. Second time about 1 hour.

Find a guide online and save yourself a lot of cash, Dealer wanted $220 to do mine the first time, that is when I decided to do it myself.

Agreed...replace your fork seals. There's no need in paying a shop 2 bills or more to do this either. You *can* do this.

Scan the how-tos there are several excellent pictorials, i believe. Definetly several good write-ups. the seals will run you about $40 bucks. Hardest part is supporting the bike, ;-) Check your steering head bearings at the same time. It doesn't add much to the job but can definetly be worth upgrading the roller-bearings (if there is any doubt).
