yes, if you're going to do track days then RR would be better. as far as suspension it is better than the F4i but it still can use some work.
as far as the comment regarding exhaust causing someone to low side, unless it's the stock one, you shouldn't be dragging the pipe. the feelers would hit and lift you before the exhaust will. if you're properly getting out of the bike...it shouldn't happen.
for 5-6K, i'd look for a used RR...or get a used F4i and use the remaining money to do suspension work and then you'll have a very capable bike.

well Ive driven my 600 RR to the honda hoot down in knoxville tenn. from Buffalo NY. 11 long hours,to say the least My *** was sore so if your looking for comfort go with the f4I or maybe a goldwing lol.. I belive the seat is a bit softer but you could always go with a new aftermarket seat with the RR.Riding for 2 hours at a time aint so bad. However I wouldnt trade my RR for anything except for perhaps a 1000 RR. It looks a little sleeker with the center up exuast in the back rather than on the side.the suspension on the RR uses the pro link and like the way it handles as welll. Do your research on what fits your riding style, there both nice bikes.good luck

Thanks for the reply, I think I'm going to try to find an F4i and upgrade the suspension. We do alot of longer rides and it just doesn't seem that I would like the RR. The only bike that I have found around me right now is a '99 GSXR 750. I'm going to go take a look at that even though its not really what I'm looking for, but its super clean and the price is right. Mostly I want to see how far the dealer will come down on their price, I know they only pay half of the blue book cost so they will make money off of it no matter what. I will keep you guys posted on what happens. Thanks again for all of the responses.

99 gixxer 750 is a nice bike...as far as comfort, still the F4i, but powerwise and other stuff...it's good

I would offer him no more than 4 G's cash take it or leave it.Its winter time and he may just want to get rid of it .tell him the bike is near 7 years old and 7 years of pounding on.looks sharp let us know how things work out for ya good luck!
