Default f4i reserve problem

I just put my bike back together after being painted.I made sure everything is hooked up too.I turn on the bike and the reserve light is on.I fill the tank, but the reserve bars blink all the way to empty. When I turn on the bike I can still hear the fuel pump. The bike hasn't stalled.I ran it for awhile and still hasn't stalled.Any help would be welcomed. thx

It takes a min or two for it to go away. After you fill up.

lol I know that.It was at full reserve .I hit the highway. The reserve kept ticking down.I did a uturn and came home.A total of like 20 miles on a full tank, but the reserve won't shutoff or reset.I don't wanna ride just incase it breaks down.

reserve light isn't going to cause the bike to shut down or anything.
it's just a light. i'm sure you hooked everything up right but in taking it apart and painting, etc...you may have shifted the sensor in the tank.
