F3: Bike sputters after swapping out a gas tank
Hello Everyone...
I have a quick question. I have a 95 F3, and this weekend I changed out my damaged tank to a undamanged used tank. It was riding perfectly fine before I had made the swap (all day saturday). After the swap, (morning sunday) I took the bike for a test drive and it just sputtered like as though gas was running low, like when you are on "ON" and need to switch it to "reserve". Neither position works. The funny thing is that if I stop the bike or just leave it at idle it idles perfectly fine and I have rev the motor all the way wthout it sputtering. This only happens when I drive it above 25 MPH OR so, it feels like there isn't enough fuel.
My question is, Could it be a fuel filter problem? I did not clean out the tank prior to installing it, maybe junk got into the fuel filter? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I know that there is gas becuase the gas line leaked gasoline when I attempted to pull the tank off.

Yeah I think that's the problem. My friends taking a look at it right now and he says the filter that was inserted into the tank didn't fit correctly so that may have led to debree going into the filter. It will be replaced so we'll see. thanks.
