Would a 93 f2 fairing stay work on a 97 f3? I do have access to a welder, the one i have is bent pretty bad, just bought the bike as is

 

No it would not. They are not the same. I can tell you from first hand knowledge that it's very difficult to get a bent F3 fairing stay back into shape even when you have another F3 sitting right beside it to measure off of. Only being off by slight amounts makes a huge difference. I highly recommend spending the $135 on a new one if yours is damaged. It's well worth the investment if you want your fairings to fit properly.
