I have a 2000 CBR f4, and I really like the sound of my Vance & Hines exhaust. However, I absolutely love the looks of an exhaust with dual inline slash-cut tips. Something like this:


I know Danmoto makes an exhaust for the f4 that somewhat looks like this, but its basically a straight pipe. While I like a loud exhaust, straight pipe loud is a bit too much for my taste.

What I'm wondering is, when it comes to bike-specific exhausts, is it just a fitment thing or is there something else about the exhausts construction that is specific to that bike's performance? I've seen exhausts from one bike put on another bike many times (gsxr exhaust seems to be popular), but I never knew if there was a matter of performance compatability, or it basically just comes down to making it fit.

I sure would love to slap that Toce exhaust from the photo onto my bike, if at all possible/feasible. If not, something else that looks like it.

TL;DR - I want that Toce exhaust in the photo(or something like it) on my f4. Are there performance matters to be concerned with using an exhaust made for a different bike, or is it just fitment?

Just a figment thing. I've got an rf900 pipe on my bandit 1200, and an r1 pipe on my 954

Can an F4 "Injected" exhaust be fitted without issues to an F4 "carbureted"??
