Hey man... Welcome to the forum. I have a 929 and the same thing has happened to me. It would only do it for abou 3 seconds then it would come back on.. I have a thread.. https://cbrforum.com/forum/general-t...issues-131456/ .

At the present time my headlight does not work, but my turnsignals, dashlight, brake light and everything else work. My ground wire is completely fried. Take a look at the wiring harness under the right air dam and see if the GREEN is fried and looks like the one from my thread. That is the only advice I can give. Hope this helps man.

Check the wiring at the start switch and relay.

yeah.. check what 74demon says first, then go to my advice. 74demon gave me all my advice, he's a very knowledgable member, especially with the 929.

Thank talk for the reply... 74demon I have pulled the switch apart and looked at everything in there and everything looks fine and the button has good spring to it so when you press it it goes right back out anything else I should look for???? And my bike has ram air and the whole front is pretty much open and I haven't seen that big connector you have a picture of on your other post but I'm gonna go out and see if I can't find anything here in a few thanks for the help

Get a test light, or voltmeter, and follow the power through the switch and relay. Its designed to shut all those things off during cranking. Did you find the fuse in the relay?

First, you have to be patience with your bike.

1. Before you do anything, did you check fuses. Check all fuses.

2. Use voltage tester ($3-5 harbor freight) clamp ground, check all fuse connector. You can start from any light socket, or start from fuse box.

3. Work off the service manual to locate all wiring.

May be a fuse, fried wire, relay, disconnection....etc.

Good luck and keep us posted.

74Demon and Estate... He figured out the problem. Was it the big grey connector like what was wrong with mine, on the right side under the air dam?? If so, inspect it VERY CLOSELY inside and out. Purchase some QD Contact Cleaner(electrical connection/contact cleaner), spray it all on the connectors and let it dry. Then put some Di-electric Grease on the contact points and put it back together. That helps keep moisture out. If your connector wasn't fully seated, it may have gotten some moisture in the connector and now it's "locked" in there. Just trying to help you out so you don't end up like me.

About posting pictures.... there is a thread on that https://cbrforum.com/forum/new-membe...-posts-116758/ . Check that out and if you have anymore questions ask away.

Glad you got it fixed and inspect that area frequently to ensure the problem is not getting worse. My problem started like that, but I didn't think anything of it, and now I am paying for it.
