Electrical harness between old & new CBR1000RR's

Does anyone know the answer to the electrical wiring harness between the CBR1000RR 04-05 years and the CBR1000RR 06 being the same or different? I ask because I have bought the Scorpio SRI-500 with perimeter and the shop ordered me the wiring harness adapter for it but from a 04-05 model the 06 was not listed in the book yet. The salesman said it is going to be the same even the 04-05 600RR uses this harness. I know that there a many other differences between the older and new version CBR1000RR but anyone know the real deal?

Also I have read that it is a pretty easy install? Anyone have anything to add it would be appriciated. I am wondering how much of a pain it will be to setup the perimeter and not have my alarm go off all the time.

Thanks.... [&o]

The part numbers are different between the 04/05 and the 06 wiring harness. Your best bet will be to call Scorpio and ask them directly.

Hey, I've got the same alarm on my bike. It was already installed by the previous owner so I can't help you on that aspect. But as for the perimeter setting, it's pretty sensitive. I'm keeping it in my shed which is about 8x6x8 (ft), and if I arm it with the perimeter setting it'll go off. Hope this helps
