Dyno-Drag Results
01 CBR F4i - Hindle Slip On/K&N Filter
Run 1: Reaction Time: .558 Elapsed Time: 11.021 Speed: 126.500 Horsepower: 100.2 Run 2: Reaction Time: 1.277 Elapsed Time: 11.042 Speed: 126.800 Horsepower: 101.3 Run 1: Reaction Time: .922 Elapsed Time: 10.895 Speed: 127.500 Horsepower: 104.4 I was sad when I seen the HP results. I had another run but my bike was @ 229 degrees, so I passed it up...lol. I'm thinking about a power commander, but is the $300 worth the results? What do ya guys think? Suggestions? Thanks. |
RE: Dyno-Drag Results
I dont think there is a ton of HP gain with the PC. It is mainly for a better tune. Be lucky to get 2 or 3 out of it if thats what you are looking for.

RE: Dyno-Drag Results
I was also running 113 octane which I think also hurt me in the HP numbers. I will run Shell-93 from now on. I also noticed a huge doggyness when I dumped the clutch, I went from 11k rpm to 1500 rpm when I took off on the dyno, I prolly should of slipped the clutch a lil more, but still, I think a PC will help that a bit. thanks for the input!

RE: Dyno-Drag Results
Doesnt honda only rate these things at 110 hp? Why are you so dissapointed with your results?
|
RE: Dyno-Drag Results
It's a 600cc bike. You are not going to get huge gains out of that much you do to it. With a full exhaust, pcm, and some tuning you might pick up 6 or 7 hp max. Bikes now days are so finely tuned it's hard to get good gains without tearing into the motor or adding forced induction of some kind.

RE: Dyno-Drag Results
so a friend of mine has an 04 600RR....how much faster would he be in the quarter mile than the F4i? he has a power commander, full exhaust. just curious mostly..thanks.

RE: Dyno-Drag Results
I dunno, I would have like to see better than stock or stock, numbers with a K&N + Exhaust... but I <3 the bike anyway :P

RE: Dyno-Drag Results
Slipping the clutch would've netted better #'s but is hell on a clutch. I'm wondering about your shift points -- RT's are erratic but somehow you managed to make the best ET with the .922 -- almost 1/2 sec slower than the 1st run but best speed, ET and HP. Go figger?
|
RE: Dyno-Drag Results
RT in no way figures into your ET...you could sit for an hour when the light turns green...and then launch and pull a good ET.
ET starts when RT ends. |
RE: Dyno-Drag Results
You are correct -- I don't know what the heck I was thinking.
