thanks guys, sorry i have not been in on this thread i have been busy and just got a chance to look at my bike for a second. im about to go pull it all apart right now but from what i see the right farings are obviously done along with my front headlight fairing. the main bolt that holds the fairing to the frame snapped off so there is the stub stuck in my frame. i guess ill have to drill that out and re thread it. i started it up and it runs and sounds fine. when i take it apart ill check the measurements and alignment.

sorry for a stupid question as i should know this but what is a clip on?

Try an Easy Out tool before you go through all that. Fairing bolt shouldn't be as tough as a torqued down bolt somewhere
