Dimming Headlight

My question is, on my 03 954 while riding at night I notice that when I'm on the throttle the
head light is bright but as soon as I let off it gets dim but just slightly. Just wondering if this is normal
or is my battery getting weak. I did leave the key on for about 10 min. one day and it totaly killed the battery, but never had a problem since..

Thanks

Mine does it too. Son't worry about it. It is just the alternator putting out more amps at higher rpm.

That's true about the generator, but it still means a weak battery. The headlight should be the same brightness at all rpms. Could be a poorly functioning regulator.
