Default Different PGM-FIs for an '01 F4i?

Im reletivly new to bikes, but thats not stopping me from trying to learn everything I can. I have done all of the mechanic work on my baby for about a year. Now Ive come across a stumper. I needed to know why for the same year (2001) the 600F4i has two different stock numbers for the PGM-FI units? These numbers are 38770-MBW-A12 and 38770-MBW-L11. And while Im at it. what the heck is the "A" model and the "AC" model? Thanks for your help guys.

Only if it were bad. What are all the symptoms of your problem?

That was really it. Ive been having some problems with the fuel pump cycling. It just quit on me one day when i was startin the bike. i found it was the fuel cut off relay by using a jump wire. of course my dumb *** didnt use a fuse in the wire when I was bypassing the relay. duh. anyway, a local mechanic took a look at it for me for a second opinion and he said he put a PGM unit from another bike in and mine started righ up. Im just a little worried about my baby, ya know. But thats the only problem Im having, is that damn fuel pump not getting a signal.

If he put another one in and it fixed it then that would be the problem.
