Dent in Rim a problem?

Hey, I just went to the shop to look at my bike before I pick it up tomorrow. While looking it over I noticed my front rim had small dent in it, I dont really know if the rim is actually bent yet, but it didnt look bent. It just had a dent like when you curb check in a car.

The question I have for everyone, is is it safe to ride? The mechanic said it might cause some slight vibrations but not to worry unless it leaks air. What are yall's take?

Depends on the "dent" size. I've got a spare front wheel that has a very slight impact bend, like you mention but it runs very well. The tire seats properly & holds air w/o any problem. I would run it on the street but not on the track.

Awesome thanks man. I ended up bidding on a wheel from ebay, just to be safe incase this one is bad. But like you show, there is nothing wrong with having a spare.

Thanks again for your input!
