Default clutch? or trans?

hey guys, new to the board here. I have a f3 I'm having trouble with, the bike now starts/runs fine, however for lack of better terms, won't move. When i bought it the guy said the clutch was shot, but I want to be sure before I throw more parts at it. when idling, I can put it in gear, and nothing. continues to idle without the clutch pulled in. it will roll when in gear(but you can feel it is in gear). Am I looking at a clutch or transmission? also when idling, it sounds fine, however when revved up some, sounds like a tick noise (could be clutches/basket?) If anyone has any ideas, i would love to hear them! thanks guys

you happen to have a swingarm stand? Or can you get some help and jack the rear off the ground and crank her up, put it i n gear and see of you can get the rear wheel spinning while off the ground?

Without the weight of the bike, there might be enough grab in the clutch to get the rear end spinning. You might even pull the chain off the drive sprocket and see if you can get it to turn.

Jacked the rear up and put it in gear and it turns, revs do not affect this at all, im assuming the clutch is just shot. I still dont know about the engine noise, guess i'll figure it out when i put in a new clutch. I appreciate the help!

Does it do this in all gears ? Have you tried shifting into 2nd or 3rd ? That would have to be a really badly worn clutch to not move the bike at all. If it will make the bike move in another gear, then you could be talking about broken dogs in the transmission.

Something to try is to shift into second rather than shifting into 1st.

I put it in first and second when jacked up and the tire spun, when on the ground nothing. It will idle and rev without pulling clutch handle both on ground and in the air
