Good afternoon all, could anyone please show me or tell me which way this part is supposed to be?
i sucked all or the old fluid out as it resembled dark honey and then noticed this bit just sitting there.

much appreciated

Do you mean the reservoir itself? It holds brake fluid for your front brake.

no, I mean the silver bit in the bottom of the reservoir. Is it supposed to fit in in a particular orientation?
the silver bit seems to fit in both ways round. One way it covers one hole in the bottom of the reservoir and if I turn it 180 degrees, it will cover a different hole.

Looking at the bottom of the reservoir, there is a line that goes off the bottom and down to the calipers. The open hole should be directly above the brake line.

I think I got it sorted, seen someone’s video on YouTube. This was in the clutch lever reservoir. Thanks for responding.
