Default changing tires

Whats going on all? I have a 1992 CBR F2 that i am trying to get the tires changed on, I was woundering if anyone could help me, I am tring to figure out the best way to get the bike in the air so i can get both tires off. It will only cost me $30 a tire if i take just the rims in instead of $190 if i take the whole bike in. Any help would be great. Thanks Dave[sm=feedback.gif]

You really should get stands for it, that's the safest way. They lever the bike up by the control arm and forks. I've seen someone take off the lower fairing, and use a block of wood against the exhaust with a jack, but I don't know that you could do that on your bike without causing damage, and either way, it's very unstable and easy to tip the bike over.

Default RE: changing tires

yea i tried using two car jacks for the front suspension but the jack itself kept getting in the way, so me and my dad hooked some rope up to the triple tree and tied it around the bucket of our tractor and just lifted the bucket up and it picket the front end off the ground without any damage to the bike, but it was too much trouble to do that again so I went on ebay and bought a set of T-Rex Racing front and rear stands for a $100-110 shipped, which is a great deal b/c these stands are not cheaply made, and the bike is very stable on them, I definitly recomend T-Rex Racing stands. Later.
