Default CDI box / ICM part numbers

Well I'm looking on ebay for a CDI box for my 95 cbr600 f3 and ran into a few questions after some research.

1) Many people claim the same box will work for a f2 or f3 and after finding many different part numbers on hondapartsdirect.com I am highly doubting it. My year has 2 different part numbers for the CDI box and those part numbers only ran from 95 to 96.

2) If they won't all work is there a way according to the white print on the top of the box how to match them up as many people don't list exact year or anything about the bike the CDI box came out of. I had read on one auction that if you match the top line of numbers/letters to your box it will interchange. Is this true?

Default RE: CDI box / ICM part numbers

Anyone have any information on this stuff? If you've got an f2 or f3 post what year and list your part number and maybe we can get an idea of what part numbers go on what bikes and what years. Its as easy as pulling your right rear tail fairing off and reading the white letters.
