Default CBR125 Rear brake noise

Hi,

I've had my CBR125 for about a week now and ever since I bought it a week ago, I have noticed that when I use the back brake I hear a fairly loud squeeking sound. Its not like the kind of high pitch sound you hear when a car brake has worn down, it sounds more like a push bike wheel when its full of muck or something. It has gradually got a lot louder and more common over the last few days and I need to try and find out how to get rid of it. I'm going to try cleaning it but it was spotless when I bought it and like i said it did it a bit then so I dont think it could be dirt... I'll see if its the same after cleaning it but has anyone got any other ideas what it could be? Someone else who has a CBR125 told me that theirs does the exact same thing even straight after they have cleaned it etc. Oh and mine is only 4 months old with 1500 mile on the clock so its not like anything should be worn down on it.

Thanks!
Chris

Default RE: CBR125 Rear brake noise

use some fine grit sandpaper, scuff the surfaces of the rotor, and the pads, VERY LIGHTLY on the pads to deglaze them. this is usually a source of noise. just like on cars.
