CBR wont start...tried stuff...now what?
Hello!
As stated , My CBR1000RR wont start. Its been sitting a while and the other day I went to start her up... But got the Buzzing sound from the starter relay. So Last night I ran out and bought a replacement battery thinking the one I had was just so old by now. This morning I Installed it, and the bike started right up. I turned her off and started her again after wiping the bike off a bit. Not 30min later, I tried a third start ...and got the buzzing again.
So I decided to hook her up to my car's 12v. I didn't start my car, but just hooked jumper cables between the car and bikes battery. My bike would now turn over but would not start. I do smell fuel and hear the pump as well. After words I measured the new bike battery I bought and the voltage was totally low. It's charging now.
So I'm guessing though, once it charges it will turn over but wont start....what do I check at this point? A friend of mine said hooking it to my car battery could ruin my ECM????
The starter relay is suppose to buzz correct? How can I tell if its bad or good? Since I could get the engine to turn but not start when I hooked it to my cars 12v, tells me that the starter is still good?.
Thanks,
Chris
