Default CBR 125 no ignition

Hi all,

Ive got a CBR 125 and has been parked up for a few days. I came to it this morning to start it and there was no power to the ignition when I turned the key. I was told it could be a flat battery or main 30A fuse and so replaced them both and yet still nothing.

can anyone help please?

Louie

Prove your battery voltage. Check kill switch(es). Carefully check your wiring away from your battery.

By “ no power to the ignition “ do you mean that no lights appear on your clocks or do you mean that nothing happens when you hit your starter button ?
Best of luck mate and post your findings back.

There is no kill switch on the bike and the battery is brand new and fully charged

I mean that there are no lights or anything at all on the column and won’t bump start or anything. The main fuse is fine but changed it anyways and still nothing

cheers mate

A visual inspection looking for unplugged wiring loom blocks might turn up something. If they haven’t been unplugged correctly in the past, the locking mechanism could be damaged and may cause an issue.
Further, you can also check for your negative (ground) wire connections.
I understand you have a new battery but you should prove your voltage with a meter. The same meter could then be used to prove your fuses and continuity of your wiring.
You might need to partially strip your bike to get at your wiring connections as you proceed with your checks. First check for me would be that I do actually have twelve volts .
Best of luck mate.
