Carbon Fiber refinish
Alright, so this doesn't have to do with my bike, but i know alot of people use CF parts, so maybe someone has some insite.
I have a CF hood on my GTi, and it now looks like ****. its clowdy, scratched up and just kinda looks like someone took a sand blaster too it. I have tried waxing it, but it didn't help.
Is there any special way to like wet sand CF to make it look better? it's all in the clear coat, so i guess it would be just like a clear coat on paint.
I am completely clueless so any thoughts would be great

RE: Carbon Fiber refinish
It can be wet-sanded/buffed just like clear coat. BE GENTLE! If you go too far you'll be into the actual fiber, and the piece will be garbage. I wouldn't go any coarser than 600 grit (if it is REALLY bad), but probably starting with 1000 grit is your best bet. 1000-2000-2500-polish compound-wax-sealer. Baby steps will get you there.
