Carb problems
Hi again,
I just posted a hello on the new members page and now on here to ask for some help if possible, the CBR1000F I have just bought has now decided to sling a faulty carb problem at me, Ok you say, get new bits and rebuild them easy!!!! I wish it was. This is where MR Honda comes into his ownit seems the carbs I have fitted were only used for a year or 2 before they decided to replace, ungrade, whatever they want to call it!!. New float needles have been ordered but dont fit, after several phone calls it seems the ones I need are no longer available from Honda. What I have is part number 16155MN9004 Correct for all other CBR F's except mine which is a CBR1000FN seems the part number I'm after is 16011MW7890 and obviously I'm after 4 of these little darlings, any ideas where I can get them from, Silvers hasn't got any and has no idea where I can get some from, if I have to replace carbs them so be it but they are in otherwise perfect condition so dont really want to do that. Any helpers here please.
Regards Chris.

Chris, I think what you did was got the 93+ set instead of going back a year and trying the 91 set. The carbs changed in 1993, and I THINK they were the same from the earlier years until then. The fiche for the 91/92 appears to be the same, but the newer ones are a totally different carb.
It looks like these guys list your carbs here, and the appropriate valve seat set, but it's pretty expensive (175EUR +post for a full 4carb set!!)
Now take a look at the fiche for the 1991 carb set. HERE It matches the '92 (N) set above.
And the 93+ set (which matches the PN for the set you said didn't work) is HERE
Totally different carbs....
I'm pretty sure the valve set you want is the same valve set as this one from David Silver (x4)for the 1991. I'm just not sure why it didn't cross reference to the N model....
BTW, welcome to the CBRF. Stop by the Hurricane section and say hello if you haven't already....
