you can't do that in california, because the plate cant be rear or the rear axle..im sure there is other reasons to, such as that it has to be on the bike and be lit and what not..kind of an interesting idea.and the thing about the ecu is..there was a thread a while back that spread to probably every single motorcycle and auto forum in the world about a guy that had a kawi and had his "fabricator" friend help him with afender eliminator, and proceeded to drill multiple holes thru his ECU..hence its a stupid idea to put it on ur helmet and it was stupid of that guy to drill holes in his "friends" ecu.. therefor implying that you are similar.

Is there a helmet law in your state?
Any helmet mods void the DOT approval because the helmet didn't pass testing with the mod.
Have you considered the aerodynamic effect of attaching the plate to your head?
Where are you going to mount the reverse camera?
