Cage or sliders?
Hey,
How come I hear more of sliders and not much on cages? I just want to protect my bike if I crash, or some idiot knoks it over.... |
RE: Cage or sliders?
I would go with sliders bud...cages are for stunting. but no worries frame sliders will get the job done
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
cage takes away the look
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
Like they said... cage for stunts, sliders for riding. We use sliders because we may crash, they use cages because they will go down.
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
Sorry don't flame me but what are cages?
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
Crash cages. It's like a roll cage for your bike. Stunters use them because they will usually wreck the bike at low speeds and it will save the paint and motor.
The bad part about using a cage on a street bike is that if you go down at high speeds, the bike will slide on it's side for quite awhile. If you want to see some examples of cages, check out www.racing905.com |
RE: Cage or sliders?
Thanx for the info. So your saying bar ends, frame sliders, and spools on the swing arm would save my plastic in most slides or a fall over??
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
yes
|
RE: Cage or sliders?
just a fall over mang...spools are for lifting the bike mang...bar ends are just whatevers...sliders are to keep the frame safe...as far as plastics, primary goal is not to save the plastics but the frame, etc.
if you get a cage...it'll get sparky when you hit the twists. |
