Cool Buying the right plastics/fairings

Hey Guys,

Im in the market for new plastics. Can someone tell me how you can identify which fairings will work for my bike? I've found a style that I like, but I noticed that i can purchase 2 different kits. They aren't different by much, but still enough to make me worry about buying the right set.

Here are the links to what Im looking at:

Wholesale Motorcycle Fairings - Buy Free Gift for All the Bolts And Screws Fairings Kit With Tank Cover Fits for HONDA CBR600RR F5 05 06 2005 2006 CBR 600 RR Black White D3F4, $376.0 | DHgate

Wholesale Motorcycle Fairings - Buy White Black Injection Molded ABS Fairing Kit for 2005 2006 Honda CBR600RR CBR 600RR CBR600 F5 05 06, $380.0 | DHgate

Any thoughts would be awesome.

Just an fyi - these cheap chinese fairings often are pretty bad. The plastic is very thin and the paint is usually crap and chips off easy. Usually they don't mount up right without modification.

Here's a pic of one of my old bikes with "china fairings".

The kind of ABS plastic they use is different/cheaper. (ABS is like saying "alloy", there's different kinds) It's thicker, and it doesn't flex as much, which means it's prone to cracking and doesn't fit *as* well. The paint is not near as nice (it does crack and chip). The decals aren't near as good, either (they can pull away, and the first fairing I was sent was missing the "r" in "Fireblade").

For the amount they cost - I was okay with it. My wife (it was "her" bike) wanted a repsol - and there wasn't an OEM alternative - so that's why I went with it. If you want an OEM color/style - wait it out on EBAY for OEM ones. It may cost a touch more and take longer, but it's worth it.

I have a set and they are a pain, I hate takeing my bike apart now. They look ok but they melt a little and chip ez. If your thight on cash and you don't mind some work go for it but if you can wait get what you need and paint them

Conclusion: I did not like my china fairings once they were mounted The new sharkskins I love and dont wanna harm the beautiful paint job.
