Buying a 2005 Honda CBR600rr. Questions!
Hey im new to the forum and sport bike riding as well. iv been riding other types of bike for 2 years now.
My questions is how is the 05 CBR? i found one that looks clean and not modified other then a slip on exhaust (leo vince) but no power commander. it has around 5k miles on it and the owner says there is nothing wrong with the bike. but he told me about a "pop pop" sound on deceleration, when he has the throttle wide and then closes it. Is this OK? or should i stay away from buying this bike? why would it do that? and can it be fixed easy and cheep? I would want the original exhaust but he does not have it so i may but one from ebay. Thoughts and advice please! THanks guys!! |
Sounds fine to me do you have an inspection checklist? They help a lot to comb through the bike and make sure its in good working order. Where are you located, California? Often times that poping is unburnt fuel and is characteristic of the CA Emissions package on bikes and is normal. There are a few things you can do to help minimize it. And welcome to the forum! You should hop on over to the New members section and say hello!

Popping on decel is normal. How much is the asking price for the bike? 5k miles is NOTHING
