incompetence runs rampant, even at dealerships. These guys clearly do not know what they are doing. The fact that your tank was dropped says it all, they are not being careful. Tuning carbs isn't black magic, but you either know what your doing or you don't. If they said that the carbs were not synced and the boot was off then you should really be worried because you are always supposed to sync carbs after any work, and the carb boots are a no brainer, you leave one of them off and you should be working at burger king, not a power sports shop. To be honest dude, I would get your bike out of there, these guys are going to be getting desperate and that means they are going to cut even more corners. I don't know how much you gave them but I would have tested the bike prior to paying, something to remember next time. Clearly you have a main jet or pilot jet obstruction or a vacuum leak. If these guys are giving the carbs the old spray down with carb cleaner and then just throwing them back together then its no wonder you have the same problem. The jets have passages that are as thin as a pin, so you need to really get them clean or your not gonna get anywhere. I am thinking about do a tech writup on here for completely overhauling a set of cabs because people are getting reamed left and right on this site by morons who claim to be pros. I would tell the dealership that you want your money back and the bike back, take it to someone who actually knows what they are doing. The stealership will say no, so offer them 50$ or so for their troubles and explain that you want the bike or your going to contact the BBB or the mother company and complain about their service. Also, put them on the spot and ask them exactly how they service a carb bank. If they don't mention an ultrasonic cleaner or hot tank then your paying for a service you can do in your own back yard. Best of luck and my sympathies for your and the headache these fools are putting you through.

***I would also ask how they missed the issue on their so called "test ride". Chances are they only started the bike and it worked fine because they were not putting the carbs into the main circuit so everything seemed fine. You will only notice a main or pilot jet problem above 4K RPMs and under load.
