I am getting one soon. I think they are pretty similar. I have seen a bunch about $50 that are formed and are just based on bike size like S, M, L.

Don't buy a cheap, non-motorcycle cover. Those Walmart cheapies are not designed for motorcycles. They will trap heat, moisture and let in dirt and debris. Get a motorcycle specific cover if you like your ride. There are different sizes and types, like dust covers for indoors and there are more rugged ones for outdoor exposure to prevent damage from the elements. Spend the $50+ on a decent cover.

nice. thanks.. though I think I'm going to build a little shed out of some PVC and a tarp. Any problems with that? ie trapping heat etc.

There are motorcycle specific covers at WalMart and yes they are $20 and they DO breathe letting out moisture and heat and they DO block UV rays. Granted they are universal so they are just S - M - L sizes. So if all you want is some protection and you dont live in extreme weather they work well. Works for me....granted my bike is garaged its just covered to keep away dust and the occational four legged critters that like to sit on it. Damn cats.....
