Default '87 Hurricane rear seat cowl/ cover

Just got '87 Hurricane. Guy gave me a rear seat cowl/ cover made of fiberglass with bike. Fits perfectly over rear part of seat, but don't see any way to secure it. Has 1 hole in top rear, one hole on each side. 3 mount points. Steer me to any info on this ???? Thanks.....

Apparently they are held on with little spring-clips. I'd asked the same question of another member a while back. Here's his reply

You are going to get better reply's if you start your own thread that addresses your particular need. Putting a carb question in a seat thread isn't going garner you much.

Default Carb tee / seat cowl.

Yes start a separate thread would be the way to go. However, call it fate, or you must be livin' right ,that you posted on my thread. I just picked --- up a used motor today. Strange thing is , have no use for it, but $75 for a running motor was hard to pass up. Bike was crashed. Ran great he said. Came with carbs. Hate to see a bike down for a simple part. Will donate 1 of them to the cause, keep 1 for a spare for mine. Will have to disassemble to check condition. To verify: 1987 hurricane 1000. On bike bandit factory diagram of carbs , is #3....inlet tee. ( Have all 4 swivel tees any way, smaller #6 also. ) Looking at it, if all else fails, you could make one up out of brass tubeing if you're handy with a lathe, or, present the intact one to a local machine job shop to duplicate. Lastly, present problem to service manager of any bike shop near you and ask what they'd do in situation. If it's a Honda shop, they may have run into problem before. Long winded answer ? Hell yeah, but I'm old and you posted on my thread.... That'll teach ya........... .....
