Default Best Brake Pads?

I just bought my 02 F4i and I need to replace the front and rear brake pads. What is the best brand for brake pads? Should I spend more money on the EBC pads or does it make that big of a difference if I get the run of the mill cheap pads? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Ive been through 2 sets of OEM brake pads and just switched to Galfer brake pads and I think they have better grip causing a higher deceleration.... there about $70-80 for the front end pads (4)

I've always had the best luck with Galfers. Every set of OEM and EBC HH pads have warped my rotors. Galfers have been on for at least the past 46k miles and rotors are still smooth as glass

What's the usual mileage for pads to start to go bad? Do they squeak like car brakes when it's nearing the change time?
