Smile Battery Drain Issue

Hi

I've bought a cat D 2006 CBR600F to tidy up and sell, its all done and has passed it MOT but the brand new battery is going flat from fully charged in a few days. I'm not riding the bike at all, and there is no alarm fitted.

I have a digital multimeter that admittedly came from Lidl.

I have tested the amps drawn by the battery. When the ignition is off there is no draw showing at all even though the lcd clock is lit? If I turn the bike ignition on the multimeter gives a reading.

The battery is showing 13.5 volts and 13.97 volts with the engine running.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi , with the test you did , did you unconnected the positive lead from the battery and connect your multimeter to the battery and the other probe to the positive cable to see what draw you have, (ignition off) Multimeter to DC

Could always check across the fuses (top) Multimeter on Milliamps ,ignition off, to see where possible drain is and on which circuit (should only be about 0.4 milliamps for circuit when off) any more that could be your culprit
