I've got aftermarket front turn signals on my '01 CBR600F4i very similar to these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...160_AA160_.jpg

Unfortunately shortly after mounting one of the bulbs went out. I've been having a real hard time finding replacements that are orange, but that's not my main concern.

My main problem is that so far every replacement set of bulbs I buy although they work, are causing the system to flash fast as though one of the bulbs is out. The original bulbs that worked say "12V23W" on them. The first set of bulbs I bought were only 6V so I figured that was why. So I bought another pair of bulbs that are actually 12V thinking that was the issue but these also cause it to blink fast. Now I've determined its likely the wattage that needs to be matched but I am having a hell of a time finding these style bulbs in 23W or higher (stock bulbs are 32W!).

I've tried part source, canadian tire, a couple aftermarket bike shops - nobody seems to be able to find them. Does anyone else have these turn signals and has found a source for these bulbs? Someone mentioned trying a BMW or Harley dealership, I guess because their bikes use these types?

Any help appreciated.

 

if they blink fast..dont worry about it unless they are blinking super rediculously fast. If you dont like that, i sugest buying a new set of blinkers off of ebay and pull the bulbs out. Either that or look online for the bulbs.

 

One more bump - these turn signals are very popular on Ebay - hoping someone on here has these and has had to replace a bulb before and knows a specific source.
