Im not sure on shinko's. Ive heard some bad things concering grip, but dont know personally.
If your going to spend the money on a set of tires, instead of dunlops, get some Pilot Powers. They grip a lot better and they have a crazy amount of life considering the traction they provide. I clocked over 6000 miles on my current ones and they are just past the wear bars. Dunlops are notorious for wearing too fast.

I tried a set once, i thought they took way to long to warm up, felt really hard, and did not stick well during aggressive riding. After about 400 miles i took them off and gave to a friend in need of tires. Now he rides pretty easy and he liked them. He also got prolly 6-8k miles out of them if i recall, he had them forever it seemed. Thats on a 97 gsxr 750 for what its worth.

Nobody over here would even consider putting Shinko's on a sportsbike.
They are OK for older CB500's and the like, but they have poor grip...........
Spend the extra for Pilot Powers IMHO. I have Pilot Road 2 's on my 1000F, 7000 miles and counting, and there are no chicken strips on my tyres.
TK954 is right
