Anyone here of these?
K This is listed on EBay for $30.00 Interesting but never heard of it before, Does anyone have any Info on this?????
Stage III Chip
Honda 954 929 RC51 88-06
Part # GE4762
The German Engineered Module is a BRAND NEW product that is now available only in the United States and Germany! This module is designed compete with the JET V-Chip at a fraction of the cost. The German Engineered Module will not only compete with other higher priced V-Chip, but will OUTPERFORM other competing modules and chips others are selling on eBay!!! Step by step instructions will be included along with all necessary hardware to complete the installation. Every vehicles / motorcycles have an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This unit electronically manages and monitors your vehicle’s performance. The ECU is made to meet government regulations. In other words, your engine could perform much better and could be getting more power if the ECU is replaced. This replacement could easily cost drivers over $1500. The German Engineered Module will make the same adjustment without the high cost of replacing the complete ECU.
Gain 9-13 True Horse Power!!! No Soldering Required!!!
Here is how it works:The German Engineered Performance module simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor. The module will work with the sensor to provide a new signal to your vehicles computer, or ECU. The ECU then adjusts your air/fuel and timing advance curves to new performance settings. Our German Engineered Performance module eliminates costly parts and installation of ECU components (many ECU mods require you to solder and modify the mainboard), and still safely and legally provides the same end results. There is no risk of damage to the engine or electrical system since the modified sensor signal will always remain within the manufacturer’s recommended specifications. The module works in conjunction with your vehicles ECU and will not affect engine reliability. Installation is very simple. All instructions are included and install should take no longer than 15 minutes. The German Engineered Performance module can even quickly and easily be removed or re-installed at any time.

IAT sensor, eh? So it's gonna tell your engine what -- that it's warmer than it really is or colder than it really is? For $30 you're not gonna get a whole lot of chip. Sounds like a "My bike won't start when it's hot" thread in the making.
His feedback shows about half and half. Some love the chip and others hated it. If you're bored and wanna waste $40 some with shipping, try it out. I don't see how it would do anything myself. Laws of physics do apply to everything. If you get a performance gain... you have to have an equal and opposite effect somewhere, like MPG (KPG). The write states you will not have any side effects, BS.
There a load of crap, they just fool your ecu into thinking its permanantley cold so it`ll put more fuel in tahn it would for the actual air temp, which won`t do alot in any controled manner.
If you want to play with this get a PC3 and use the Accelerator Pump facility, this will add more fuel in a controlled way at a volume you can adjust to see the results how you like it.

I agree with annubis. I have had the pc3 for a coupla months now and have just got it tuned fairly well. There is a noticable difference with the accel. pump feature enabled. personally I think messing with the IAT sensor will cause more problems than whatever the claimed increases are. Remember you have a broad rpm range here so it's almost a play on words that they are giving you. Example; you may gain 8 to 10 hp at 6000 rpm but loose 6 hp above it and 6hp below it. I see no claims saying that you will "not" loose hp. just my 2 cents
All that is, is a 20ohm resistor. It essentially fools your ecu, into thinking it's getting colder, denser air, so that it dumps a little more fuel. If you really want to try it, go to Radio Shack and buy a pack of 20ohm resistors, and all you do is hook one end of the resistor into one side of the IAT plug, and the other side into the other side of the IAT plug, making a complete circuit. It's complete nonsense to purchase that. If you really want to try it, just spend a couple bucks on a pack of resistors.
