Has it set up for a long time without running? Sounds like your pilot jets are clogged.

My bike did the same thing when I first got it. I just went to my local race gas station and bought a whole tank full of 100 octane. it took a little while but it eventually ran fine. make sure you get the unleaded 100 oct. it took about an hour to get it to stay running and about 10 to 15 miles of spitting and sputtering to clear up, hope this helps
