Aftermarket 'race' plastics - Opinions Wanted

Well, got hit by a car. I havea '99 CBRF4 which was inexcellent condition.
Got a lot of scratched up plastics, front cowling broken so....I've been throwing around getting Airtech or Sharkskinz plastics. I've recieved two opinions (one from a parts distributer guy, one from a service guy) that are against them if I want a 'nice looking' bike. They said they rattle, never fit right, drilling holes is a pain, ect...

Would like some additional experienced opinions on this. It appears that I can get a whole set of Airtech plastics for ~$500.00 Sharkskinz ~$800.00 Depending on painting costs, this could be less than or equal to the cost of new oem right fairing & front cowling ~$1300.00. (yeah, the errant driver's insurance will have to get me new OEM)

However, I don't want rattle/vibration & I do want a good looking bike.
Experienced opinions would be very helpful for me to decide what to do.

Thanks,

Airtech sucks...repeat...airtech sucks.
(Legal notice...this is an experienced opinion)

Get the sharkskins or get something from Opp Racing.

Repeat...Airtech sucks...the parts you get might not even fit correctly...they have zero quality control.

Opp Racing...parts fit like a glove, and I've heard great things about Sharkskins.

i have a spare f4 upper and tail fairing made by sharkskinz. with a little TLC they will look great. I'm willing to let them go for cheap. PM me if you are interested.

and to answer your question, sharkskinz fairings are the best in the industry. I've had no problems with rattling, bad fitment etc.
