Acerbis diamond headlight help
What's to know? Should just be positive and negative to be hooked up. The negative on the honda side should be green and the negative on the Acerbis should be white or black. Just touch the bare wires in the headlight socket of your bike to test out how you need to light up the new setup as a test and then go to town with some crimp butt connectors (red ones)
yeah but im pretty sure that its a whole connector piece that i have to rip apart to just get the headlight wires. idk, ima take apart my lights tonight and see, but im pretty damn sure that its got alot more wires besides just the headlights in it.
No, it should just be 2 wires (neg/Pos) or maybe 3 (neg/pos[low beam]/pos[high beam]). I wouldn't go any deeper into it than you need to. I sniped my stock headlight pig-tail and then snipped the pigtail that came on my headlight pod (not acerbis) and tied everything together. Since mine had high/low beam, I just put power to each wire a few times and used the brighter light with the high beam circut...for obvious reasons.
I imagine you've figured this out by now, if not, i'd be happy to take some pictures of how mine's wired.
Does yours seem a little low-powered when it comes to lighting up the road? I avoid any roads without reflectors at night, because with out them, i have no clue wherethe F%$# the road is going if it's more than 30 feet in front of me.
I'm currently looking for bulbs that might help, which is actually how i found this(and i wasn't even searching CBRforum).
Let me know if you'v figured out any ways to overcome this.
