99 CBR600F4 started w/ choke & died. Now it won't start.

Interesting and unfortunate thing happened this morning. I did my usual routine; unlock the bike, start it up with choke and once it is stable and running I put my helmet and gloves on. I live on a street full of row houses so I try to ease off the choke when the idle starts to raise as to not make my neighbors angry at me from the noise. Sometimes I ease off the choke too much and the bike dies. Usually it is no problem to correct the choke a bit and start it right back up. Once it is stable for about a minute with zero choke and handles small blips of the throttle, I take off.

Well this morning it wouldn't start back up after it died from letting off the choke a little too much. When I went to restart it, all I would get were a couple of burbles from the exhaust. It acts like I don't have enough choke to start it but with the choke on full it still wouldn't start. This is really odd to me since the bike was idling for at least a full minute or two while I got my helmet and gloves on.

Then of course my battery ran out of juice so I never did get it started. Roll starting it didn't work either. I only got about 5 or 6 attempts to start it after it died. The battery was a walmart brand so I got a new yuasa battery and it turns over fine, it just wont start.

What do you make of my issue starting it this morning?

EDIT: After sitting for a day and getting a brand new battery, it still won't start up. The starteer is working fine, the engine just won't start up. Roll starting it doesnt work either.

Does the fuel pump come on when you cycle the key on and off? It only runs for a second or 2.

Hi. Try removing the plugs and checking the electrodes to see if they are wet. Trying to start and push start the bike may have flooded the engine and fouled the plugs tips. If they are black and slightly damp looking, first give the tips a gentle brush with a wire brush, then warm them over a gas stove or blowlamp until they are glowing red, then as quick as you can replace them. Be careful not to burn your fingers! When you try to start the bike with the hot plugs installed, don't use the choke and try to start the engine. If no success, then give it a little choke and try again, but as soon as the engine starts, keep the engine revving whilst backing the choke off and keep it going. If this works, then all well and good, but if not the choke itself may be sticking in the 'on' position. Check that as well.

It was just the fuel pump connector by the battery. It was unplugged.

Thanks for the help!
