929 tachometer not working
 

I have tried 2 different gauges so I know it is not the gauges, can anyone tell me what else I can check, I have checked the fuses. Is there some kind of sending unit or wires that I can check Please I need to fix this the bike is sold!!

Tacho not working
 

Take negative lead of battery then replace needle should rise and fall to zero if not cured.
check for current at ECM no current wiring if current may be ECM unit
The fact that the first test indicates the needle moving would negate I think any wiring probs
at the tacho end. Hope this helps I had the same problem.
