78 cb400t kicker won’t turn the engine over
I just bought this bike last week. I installed a new oil pump and fixed the kicker not returning upright. Now when I kick it, there’s no compression (there was before I “fixed” the kicker) I’m really stumped on this. It’s my first bike and I’d really appreciate it if someone can help me

Hi and welcome to the forum. With the understanding that the CB400T is about 9 years before the first CBR ever hit the market, provide some history. I imagine we've got some people here that may have some knowledge on that era of bike. When was the last time that engine ran?
