2006 CBR125-R | Fuel Leak Question

So, start the sob story.

Backstory:

I placed my bike in storage for about 2 years with a respected company, who said they'd drain the bike, keep it stored and return it to me when I needed it.
I was working for 1 year, recovering from a crash for the rest of the time :)

Current Issue:
Company went into Admin, so all bikes got quickly filled, MOT'd held and returned to the owners - [much love for that!].
It seems the wait period for this to happen might have been a little extensive though (good few months).

When my bike was returned, I noticed it didnt start properly... So i turned it off and starter doing basic checks, something I should of done before starting it, i know....

Taking out the oil stick - petrol & oil flooded onto the garden path, killing a few weeds, and making it apparent something was wrong. A quick check seemed to show it had even made its way into the airbox.

So off to the garage it went!

Garage has reported they've emptied the bike, and the Carb was to blame, the air box has fuel in it, and so does the clutch. They've offered a reasonable vaule for the bike if i want to part-exchange it, but I dont know how much damage a fuel filled engine block can do.

Is it worth getting it repaired?
(repair would be clean out engine, new carb and it should run)

Or will I run into lots of problems later from fuel visiting areas it shouldnt?

Whilst able to navigate a manual, ive not had any experience with major "bike surgery" - some some CBR expert advice would be welcome!

Happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability! :)
