Default 2000 Honda CBR F4 throttle problem

Didn't post it directly under that forum because I figured it was a broad problem that some experienced techs could help me with. I was out riding my bike today. I shouldn't have been because I was slightly angry, but i rode pretty much normally. As I was hitting my homestretch, i pulled the throttle back for a little exta, hit about 80, then lost all my momentum. My throttle wasn't working. I have been riding it about 3 months with no problem. And they are aftermarket grips on the handlebars. to get it home, i had to squeeze the very end of the grip and pull it back for slight throttle. there wasn't much. The grip has always been a little sticky, as in i could let go and it would keep the same throttle for a few seconds before it came loose. What are my options ? The grip is completely broke now. It just spins.

Lacking any photo's or videos I'd say you just need to replace item #10 located here. It should be an easy replacement.

Is it the plastic sleeve of the throttle mechanism itself that's broken, 'slipping' or are you saying the grip (rubber) is spinning on the sleeve?

If the above isn't it, it could be a Worn throttle cable. Hard to say without seeing it or riding it in person...
