Default 1992 cbr600f2 Mystery can

Probably a dumb question so I apologize but I was lurking around my 1992 cbr600f2 earlier today and found and can right above my exhaust under the seat with a cap that tightens down. I opened it up and noticed some moisture but couldn't figure out what it was. I'm a snowmobile mechanic so I'm not totally ignorant I'm just new to these bikes. Thanks.

Please post photo of mysterious part.
If on right side, might be rear brake reservoir

Try another photo from front?
Is there hose on it?
Does that hose connect to anything on other end?

I don't see it on parts diagram anywhere

There's 2 fittings on the bottom end that have hoses attached I believe it's some sort of coolant overflow tank, one hose goes straight down in front of the swing arm and the other goes up to the radiator

That's not good! Overflow hose should be much higher than hose that goes to radiator. Check radiator and make sure it's topped off.

Then get proper factory OEM radiator reserve tank #14
