Default 1988 cbr100f motor change to 1990 no spark

I am having trouble and need to know if i need to change my wire harness on my 88 when changing the motor to a 90 please help it ran before the motor change

This was on a different thread the 1990 motor has to have the rotor and stator change to the 1988 style

The harness has to have the right connectors tbh. But you can cut and splice if you know what you are doing. The main concern would be the pulse generator and the CDI, you have to get them to match.
