Default 1987 Honda Hurricane CBR600 ground issue

I have a 1987 Honda Hurricane 600, I have been having wiring issues since I got it and I pulled the harness today to test grounds, I found that the green ground wire that goes to the spark unit also grounds the yellow and blue wires that go to the pulse generator, is this normal or is this a issue?

Eh? Pulse-generators should all connect ONLY to spark unit as shown on your diagram.
None of their wires should ever connect to grn ground wire.

Show us photo of how your wiring is different from diagrams.

According to manual looks like a have a short to ground and the spark unit needs replaced, I ordered a 87 cbr1000 CDI and I know it will fit but not sure if Its compatible, not too sure how CDI/ecm work, I would imagine the cc difference dosent matter because the spark unit runs off of inputs from the pulse generators.
