08 1000rr engine starts then dies. must cycle kill switch to start again
I am new here, please bear with me. While riding my bike on the interstate it stalled on me over and over. I would turn the kill switch off then on and it would run again for a couple minutes. This got worse until the runtime in between resetting the kill switch got shorter and shorter. now the bike will start and stall after about 2 seconds. fuel pump primes and engine is getting fuel but then some type of safety is shutting fuel pump off. i can keep it running with starting fluid. Again, after it starts and dies a couple seconds later, the engine will not start again until the kill switch is shut off and then back on and then it will run another 2 seconds. if i dont cycle the kill switch, you can crank the starter all you want and it will not fire. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
